Gerald Chichester is an associate attorney with Freed Howard, LLC. Gerald received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2016. While at UGA, Gerald interned as a Law Clerk for the Federal Trade Commission in Atlanta, Georgia. Gerald has also interned in-house at an environmental non-profit corporation named American Rivers, Inc. in Washington, D.C. as well as the UGA Business Law Clinic in Athens, Georgia. Gerald served as a Notes Editor on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and as Vice President of Recruitment and Fundraising for the Intellectual Property Law Society.
Gerald’s background in business law, litigation, non-patent intellectual property, and public sector entities equips him to handle a wide range of business-related issues and inquiries. Gerald has successfully litigated on behalf of both public and private entities in actions concerning title to land, garnishment, disciplinary matters, and alleged ethics violations. Gerald has counseled clients on probate matters, compliance with construction statutes, and matters concerning copyright and trademark registration and infringement. Gerald couples his litigation and counseling background with transactional experience dealing with non-disclosure agreements, intergovernmental agreements, and intellectual property licensing agreements to best represent clients, regardless of the nature of their issue.
Gerald was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He enjoys travel, basketball, football, track and field, cultural foods, and volunteering in his community.
